He has toured all over the country as a multi-instrumentalist and conductor. Shapiro also plays keyboards on the 2018 release “World of Captain Beefheart”\, a new band formed by Gary Lucas and Nona Hendryx. DESCRIPTION:Tuesday Night Live @ Lefty’s: Free Live Music!\n4West\n4West brings jazz\, fusion\, originals\, standards classic and new\, with a doctor of vocals who croons\, swings and pops. \n4West formed in 2022 when sax player Eric Lane and bassist Steve Kaell happened to share the stage at a jazz jam session. Steve brought in the phenomenal drummer Jeremy Portwood\, and we soon added Dr. Deena Altman on vocals. This all-Westchester jazz ensemble plays jazz\, fusion\, originals\, and classic and modern standards.
